About Spokane Airports

As the region’s gateway, Spokane International Airport is perhaps the most visible – and the most recognized – part of our organization. It’s where the world meets us, and where we greet the world. Where connections are made, and where opportunities begin. But it’s just one part of the Spokane Airports system – jointly owned by the City of Spokane and Spokane County and governed by the Spokane Airport Board – that plays a vital role in supporting the community’s aviation needs.

Spokane International Airport (GEG)

The region’s primary commercial airport (and one of the nation’s busiest FAA-designated small hub airports) connects travelers (over 4.3 million in 2025, to be exact!) to more than 20 nonstop destinations and over 230 one-connection routes worldwide. The airport’s market area extends from Eastern Washington to Northern Idaho, Western Montana and portions of Southern British Columbia and Alberta. Fun fact: GEG’s property spans over 6,000-acres, making it, by land size, one of the Top 25 largest airports in the country!

Felts Field (SFF)

Felts Field’s origins trace back to the beginning of the 20th century, as one of the earliest airports established in the wake of the emerging era of aviation. As one of the most popular airfields in the region, it was regularly used for commercial and recreational flying and was designated as the terminus for the renowned 1927 National Air Race. Today, Felts Field is primarily used for general aviation. Situated along the idyllic Spokane River, the airport features two paved runways, a turf landing strip, and the unique ability to accommodate water landings on the adjacent river. Felts also boasts a 35,000-square-foot Aero Centers FBO facility and several art deco-era motifs visitors can spot upon their arrival.

Airport Business Park

A 540-acre industrial and business park development surrounding the passenger terminal and airfield, with real estate designated for development. Strategically located adjacent to the airport facilities and Interstate 90.

Rail-Truck Transload Center

Located approximately two miles west of the passenger terminal, the Airport’s Rail-Truck Transload facility was designed to provide multimodal freight services to meet the increased demand for a larger transportation network from the area’s diverse commercial and industrial sectors.

Spokane Airports is jointly owned by Spokane County and the City of Spokane. The city and county operate the airports under provisions of RCW 14.08, which establishes the operation of airports by more than one municipality under joint agreement. All four properties are managed by airport leadership, under the strategic direction of governance of the Spokane Airport Board.
