SPOKANE, Wash. (Feb. 19, 2026) – Spokane International Airport (GEG) recently recorded its busiest year ever. According to data reported by the airlines, airport passenger traffic totaled more than 4.35 million passengers in 2025, a 2% increase from the previous passenger record set in 2024.
“As the region’s gateway, the airport mission always been two-fold: expand opportunities that connect Inland Northwest communities to the global economy and curate an outstanding first impression that reflects the essence of the region for visitors when they arrive,” said Dave Haring, Spokane Airports CEO. “The new routes, new passenger amenities and transformational enhancements brought to life by the Airport team in 2025 not only reinforce this enduring promise to our customers but also set forth the tone for the growth and momentum we expect to carry into 2026.”
In addition to setting a new passenger record, Spokane International Airport successfully achieved several other notable milestones in 2025, including:
- Expanded flight services, including the addition of new seasonal nonstop United Airlines service to Houston beginning May 23 and new summer service to Anchorage on Alaska Airlines starting June 10. On January 7, Alaska Airlines also launched new, year-round daily nonstop service to Orange County.
- Debut of Puerto. Tortas. Tacos. Cantina, the first restaurant concept to open as part of the Airport’s reimagined, regionally-focused concessions program.
- Launch of a new logo and brand identity to better reflect the Airport’s growing role as a regional gateway, and enhanced terminal facilities.
- Completion of the Phase 4 expansion of the Rail-Truck Transload Center, a state-of-the-art facility located west of the Airport’s passenger terminal designed to enhance and expand the region’s multi-modal logistics capabilities.
- Launch of the Parking Consolidation Project, a multi-year initiative designed to support the Airport’s growth while enhancing functionality, accessibility and wayfinding across its system of parking products.
In 2025, Spokane International Airport also made significant progress on its Terminal Renovation and Expansion (TREX) Program: the airport’s long-term vision to enhance and expand the terminal facility. The Airport expects to complete construction on its Concourse C East Terminal Expansion, which replaces the Airport’s former ground boarding infrastructure with new passenger boarding bridges and updated facilities, this summer before advancing the next phase of the TREX Program. Subject to future funding and approval, Phase II of TREX will focus on the construction of a Central Hall: a 255,000 square foot facility designed to consolidate the Airport’s security screening and baggage claim areas and streamline passenger access between concourses.
